Car Wrecks in a Neighbours Yard

I am not sure if is the right place to put it but was needing some help. Behind my house is a religious youth group type place. I have no issue with them getting loud and all of their activities on their nights to get kids off the street and what not, but I do have issues with more and more car parts being dumped at the back of my fence line. I think they teach basic mechanics and metal work.

Today the dogs were going nuts and as I went out to see what was happening a brown snake slithered back into a destroyed car body.

Is there any sort of laws that prevent people and these sort of organisations from hoarding junk like this?

Thanks for any help.

You would probably have to contact the council. I think they have laws regarding aesthetics of your own property, but i have seen enough A Current Affair to know this doesn't usually pan out…

    • Thought it might be a council thing, I have just sent of an email about it.

First thing is to go and knock on the door of the youth group place and speak with the manager/ whoever is in charge and express your concerns.

Mention the snake that you have dogs and you are concerned about your dog being bitten. That is something I'd be concerned about.

Give them a week to sort it out.

If they don't call the council and see what can be done.

    • Going to give them a visit on their next night, pretty sure they do things on Friday nights so will pop around tomorrow. Just wanted to know whether or not I was able to have a say about someone else's back yard before I began talking to them.

I think you have a pretty good case if there are snakes around making a home in the old car parts surely they don't want that and you don't want to look at it or have a snake bite you or your dogs.

I think you meant your nieces and nephews love playing in the yard and screamed when they saw the snake. Luckily this time the snake slithered away, next time may not be so lucky.

No-one really cares about your pets other than you; kids have wayyyy more leverage.

Alright fair point saying your young nieces were playing and screamed might get a bigger reaction
