Site Improvement - Change Favourite/Starred/ Subscribe Icon to The Following Layout

Move subscription icon to the left side underneath the -ve voting icon
and the icon should be in colored to show that that page is starred/favourite or subscribed to..

If page not subscribe then icon can be in white.

Current method is

-not as user friendly since is all the way down the bottom so it is not immediately shown until you scroll down, especially for long posts
and is really small.

-does not show active status ie if a page is bookmarked.

Also add starred icon to the bargain listings on
so we can easily star/favourite/subscribed to a deal without needing to +ve voting it yet.

Currently for many ppl, a quick way for ppl to favourite a bargain posting is to +ve it
since it is quick and does not require any commenting.

But I think it is better if ppl can just Favourite or starred a post instead…
So they can keep track of a deal without voting on it yet.

This would preventing ppl just blindly +ve a post before it is due
or if the deal turns out to be a dud…
There is no way to vote again once we voted already, we can only revoke the vote.

      But I think my suggestion is better

      Just look at my suggestion.

      I think what i am suggesting is more like a subscription or favourite/starred a posting..
      but the icon and layout makes it more easier and intuitive to use…

      Yes I know there is a subscription button, but I think it should be changed to what I suggested and moved to those layout..
      and added to the bargains lists page..

        Yea, I agree it needs improvement and to be able to do it without clicking on the deal would be more convenient.

          I think it makes look more nicer and easier to use

          I wouldn't say it has to be that icon exactly but it does make it easier to quickly see if you've bookmarked the deal.

          A star icon is common icon on many browsers..
          and I think ppl know it means favourite/starred..

          A bookmark icon can't be used cos it already has a purpose..

          You can use other icons of course, but I think a star icon is simple and shows it's intended use.

          The subscribe button down the bottom, is harder to find especially for long listings..

          whereas the the star icon layout i suggested would always be one of the first things you see along with the voting buttons

          It also provides a consistency in layout whether you are looking at a deal or
          looking at all the deals listings

          A star is good, just that star is a bit fat lol, but that's nitpicking.

          I didn't realise people vote to bookmark a deal, but it does seem like there are those who blindly vote + because of the person who posted the deal.

          I am one of those to +ve a deal just to keep track of it..

          Since it does not require commenting
          and you can do it on the bargains listings pages..

          If there was a starred icon I would probably would not +ve a deal as quickly or do as many +ve…

          Also I sometimes regret +ve a deal blindly, only to find out later it was a dud..

          And you can't vote again or neg a vote.. you can only revoke the vote..

          The star was just a quick photoshop job I did with an icon I found..

          You can reduce the size.. etc..

          But I think it should be yellowed when starred and white when it is not..

          It makes makes it look nice and serve the function to easy to identify a starred deal..

          The icon is smaller in length than the +ve buttons
          but is big enough to identify and click..

          If it is too small it would be harder to click..

          It also lines up nicely with the user icon..

          Which gives it a nice consistency

          Yeap there are ppl who blind +ve vote cos
          -they follow a poster e.g. TA, Eastern culture

          Or they want to do it as a quick way to bookmark/subscribe to the deal..
          without needing to open up the page of the deal..

          You can quickly just +ve a deal in the bargain listing and get back to it by going into voted menu…

          It's quicker than opening the deal page
          -make a comment OR
          -click subscribe OR
          -bookmarking..
