Will This Case and PSU Work with These Components?

Case: Deepcool Tesseract

I got a recommended PSU Wattage of 382W.

    Should be fine.

    • Thanks, it recommended 420W, so 450W should be fine I guess. I think I posted this because I'm a bit paranoid that I'll purchase the parts and something will go wrong or won't fit, just pc for parents.

Understandable. Just make sure you have the appropriate power connecter for the GPU (if the 560 even needs one, I'm not sure), and everything else will be a standard connector.

        Here's a list of the VS450's connectors: http://www.corsair.com/en/vs-seriestm-vs450-450-watt-power-s…

I think you'll be fine to go ahead and build.

  • If you're not going to be gaming why bother with a separate graphics card? In built graphics will more than suffice.

Drop the graphics card and get a Corsair VS350 - saves a bit of money even more

I have the Deepcool Tesseract SW with blue LED lighting.

    It currently houses
    Core 2 Duo E8500 + ASUS mobo
    a crappy Aywun Radii cooler
    Antec Truepower 550 semi-modular PSU
Radeon 7870 which is basically a waste in this rig.

SSD + HDD + DVD RW

It's a good bang for your buck case and is also pretty spacious for most things — just don't expect to fit a crapton of drives. Also, there are several flaws in the build — particularly there's no washable mesh dust filter which I think is VERY essential in any case because it makes cleaning so much easier, and second the first 5" drivebay on the case is actually non functioning and cannot be used (USB port cables and Power Switch cables are in the way). The 3rd gripe is the rear PCI port covers. They are twist-off rather than screw-on, so once removed they cannot be placed back in place.

In my case, it also resonates (vibration) because some parts of it are flimsy. Fixable with Blue-Tack.

you can get something much, much nicer if you can spend a $100, which works better at keeping the noise down, keeping the dust out, better at cable management and is more spacious etcetera but if your needs are basic, the Tesseract is a 'good enough' option.

    • I noticed a few of those things, already popped off the wrong port cover >_> Also the front panel thing was hard to get off.

Apart from that, for the price it's pretty good, haven't experienced any vibrations but have only just got windows installing now after a day of problems. Thankfully seems to have turned out ok :)
