Thanks but I wish people would put the $AUD price rather than $USD for these sorts of deals

Why? It all depends on what card you're using (one without international transactions fees, what exchange rate they use) plus the difference with the exchange rate as well as if you use Amazon's own exchange rate.

You can put a rough idea about it using XE currency rates, but if they put the AU price in and people end up coming on here and complaining they were charged more. Just easier to put the US$ price in and it ends up being whatever it is in AU$.

Most oversea deals particularly Amazon I see has USD AND AU in title. I agree only AU price would be misleading because it depends on exchange rate + fees, but a rough one is certainly helpful. You know you tried to convert to AU as well when you see USD in title.

        • Sorry, I obviously didn't say it very clearly in that I was saying that both the US and AU price should be in the title, but the AU would only be a 'best guess' estimate based on the current XE exchange rate when the deal is posted.

The US price should be the most predominate, as that isn't the variable part of the price.

If it helps, it's 18.83 Bahraini Dinar & 1,124,625 Vietnamese đồng

      • +3

        hehe 'dong'

        1,124,625 Vietnamese đồng

        That's a lot of dong.

        • You do feel rich when you flip out the AUD notes to change for dong in Saigon, so many zeroes in their bank notes.

Don't know why you got negged, first thing I did was try to convert the USD to see how much it is in AUD, would definitely help if AUD is in title.

Btw it is around $70 AU give or take.

    • $62.50 to be exact :)

You mean $69 instead of $62.. hopefully?

  • Order total: AUD 72.27 (Shipped)

  • I have/had one of these. I think I've lost it (and the device it was in) :(

Just be warned these have a slow (by today's standards) write speed. Less than 20MBps.

    • Yeah, I initially added this to my SSD order since it was only going to be something like 12c extra for shipping but changed to the Samsung EVO deal after reading the reviews…

      • I'm a bit confused with all the evos
theres + and not plus and pros… which one should i get for a 128gb?

        • +1

Not really sure…I only compared the two Amazon deals on here. Some others have reviewed both and each have their advantages. Between them I believe the Sandisk Ultra is the only micro sdxc card in Sandisk's range that is 128GB but I might be wrong. Samsung has a number of higher end 128GB cards but in all cases the Sandisk outperforms the Samsung on sequential read (+-88 vs +-46MBps) but falls short on sequential write (+-18 vs +-28MBps).

I decided that I would prefer the faster write speed as 40+MBps read is quite sufficient for me. I am getting it as expandable memory in anticipation for a Surface Pro so will need to do plenty of both. Besides that, I believe it goes Standard < Evo < Evo+ < Evo Pro+. 128GB might only be limited to Evo and Evo+ though.

          Hope that helps.
