It might not be for other things but for watch straps, there is a massive difference in quality.

I bought one off ebay to save a few bucks but within a few months the strap was showing wear and tear with loose strings everywhere and the metal bands all scratched up.

Skip forward a few months after I spent close to $20 from a reputable seller (directly from US) and none of those issues occurred.

Unfortunately, the watch I bought broke shortly after.

        I agree.

        • To his watch breaking?

Not as good as ASEAN straps

These have nothing on the CSTO straps. Who would want to flaunt around a band promoting an imperialistic, power hungry organisation.

    • A downvote for a poor taste joke?

      • -1

        Wasn't a joke.

  • If you live under a rock like I do, these appear to be watch straps. I'm not sure what the bargain is here. 40% off a store that doesn't seem to be cost effective doesn't look like a bargain to me. tuzii pointed to AliExpress that seems to sell similar (if not the same) product MUCH cheaper. Can anyone help the community understand?

These are indeed watch straps. The benefit of NATO straps is the ease of replacing them/switching them out for a different style as they just loop through.

The difference in pricing I presume is quality in both the material and the hardware. Its a bit hard to judge the quality because I havnt bought from either but I'd assume the OPs site (which is top of the google rankings) has a decent quality.

I think the two down votes are unfair because they don't address the fact that all straps arent created equal.

anything can be put on the top of google ranking
the name "NATO Strap Co" can also help as well as keyword manipulation and spamdexing the URL which gives them more back links into the site, which increases the google rank.

Ahh good a laymans explanation of 2010 ranking manipulation, thanks Ill send that off in an envelope to 2009 so it might be useful.

Nice, but I prefer the "Putin's" in genuine bear hide.

  • I wouldn't be putting my Tudor or Patek on an ali nato.
    Just sayin…

    • why would you even consider a nato on those

I got a ZULU strap with adapters for my G Shock GA100 (the original rubber band will eventually break) a few weeks back from a US eBay seller/manufacturer.
Both items are made by the seller and are of high quality but are not brand names.

Cost me $35 for the strap/adapters & $10 for delivery. Cheapest around.

My point is, the guy sells a crap load online at that price so this deal looks pretty good to me for brand name.

Just got a spare pair of 16mm Stainless Spring Bars for $1.20 delivered :)

OP, maybe add Free Shipping in the description.

  • They sell good quality nato straps I have brought off them twice before, the guys who run it are watchuseek members and their straps are well regarded on the forum.
I collect military watches and am pretty picky about my straps.
Good customer service and they normally mail the next day.
The regular thickness straps are fine, if your springbars are close to the case you might have trouble getting the thicker ones through.
This a good deal if you like nato's.
