TAX/FEES for Products Overseas

Hello guys!

I'd like to buy a Laptop gaming from Amazon.com, but i'm wondering if it will be with TAX/FEES (came from Australian Government Taxation for example).

Does anyone have a experience with international product ?
How is it works here in Australia ?

    If what you're importing is worth more than AU$1000, then you'll have to pay GST on top.

    <999 including shipping =0
    Greater 1000 incl shipping = 5% customs duty and 10% Gst on total amount

    1)item =950 and shipping = 40 = $990AUD = $0 charges
    OR
    2)item =950 and shipping = 60 = $1010AUD = $151.50 charges
