Whisky for Wedding

I need some help pretty desperately.

My little brother is getting married and I put my hand up for getting 12 bottles of nice whisky.

Here are the options he asked for, ranging from most desirable to least desirable.

  1. Nikka from the barrel Japanese. 69 a bottle
  2. Smith's Angastan 8 year old whisky. 69 a bottle
  3. Glenmorangie the original scotch. $65 a bottle.
  4. The Glenlivet 12 year old scotch. $57 a bottle.

Next to each I have the Dan Murphys price.

I was wondering if anyone could help me to get a bargain!

Thank you.

Step 1: Buy woolworths gift cards for 5% off through cash rewards
Step 2: Click through to dan murphys through cashrewards to get an extra 6% off
Step 3: Split your order into $150 lots or as close as possible and use the code GIFT150 for $10 off $150 orders or more
Step 4: Pay with woolworths gift cards to save the 5%

  • Can't share whisky without including Lagavulin. Only $10 more than some of those other choices.

  • You could call them up and see if they can do a case price for you.

Buy cheap whisky and pour into expensive bottles.

    All excellent feedback

Strikerzebra - that is genius buddy. I will have to look into this!

Cheap Charlie - I asked him about that, but he has never had it and he isn't sure if he will like it.

Zeggie - I asked him but same as above.

airzone - I tried dan murphys but they said they don't do deals.

luke73 - Do you have 12 empty bottles of whisky lying around?

No worries and I believe the code also gives you free delivery

Have you tried the Nikka whiskey? We are semi-keen whiskey drinkers and neither husband or I liked the Nikka terribly much (we went to the Hokkaido distillery)

It was OK, but others are nicer I think. Taste great mixed with lemonade though & they do make a nice Apple brandy

  • Worth noting (if you hadn't already) that the Nikka is only a 500ml bottle, so actually a lot more expensive than the others.
