  • Anyone know if you can hook this up to a PVR and record?

    • shouldn't be a prob there. Its just composite connectors. You just may need to be aware of what else is on 2.4ghz band that could interfere - handsfree phones, wifi, av senders, cameras and of course microwave ovens.
      Theres only 4 channels allocated.

  • On backorder online but check the instore stock.

  • thats weird "This product does not work well in the vicinity of wireless web router and Wi-Fi devices"

Does that mean if you have wifi it won't work well at all?

    • It works in the same band, as above, there's 4 channels on this device, there are 13 available to WiFi..
So if your area has a lot of WiFi routers, then you might be in trouble. If it's only got a couple, then you should be able to tune the cameras into an unused channel.

the 13 wifi channels are within the 4 allocated in the whole band. i.e. one camera can wipe out 3 or more wifi signals.

this is not a IP camera

      • that's a deal breaker for me. Thanks.

this is not a IP camera, no wifi, just wireless, likes a wireless mouse.

      • Correct, but it broadcasts signal in the same range as WiFi broadcasts as do RF keyboards and mice. Keyboards and mice have a very low output though. Video senders have much higher outputs.
Therefore can interfere and be interfered with by WiFi networks.
If you can tune the Video Sender to an unused channel, you should eliminate or at least reduce your issues.

The neat thing about these is they use an unencrypted analog signal, so your neighbours can keep an eye on your house for you…

  • Hmm, Good price. But was really hoping for something which hooks up natively to a computer.

  • Make a frequency battlefield by putting 2 cameras + Wifi + 2.4GHz Cordless phone in your home ;D

  • Just bought this - camera video quality is quite good for the price, but the signal quality is aweful - even without wireless/cordless phone. I'm going to return the product and go wired.
