travelling to QLD from SYD on Monday
need transport from my home to the airport
thinking to use Uber as there are promotion codes available to use
never use it before so I have 2 questions

Sydney taxi drivers are desperate thieves and Sydney traffic is horrendous in December.
I've used an uber to the airport before no worries, but you cant get one to pick you up from airport due to the location being blocked. I did read on a great blog how a person ordered an uber from a neighbouring suburb by changing the pickup location, then called the ubder driver saying can you pick us up from arrival at the airport. It worked. But the uber driver got tailed by a madman cab driver who got out of his car at the lights and abused him (as hw could see hte uber app on the uber driver iphone stuck to the windsheild)

edit - baby seat will be impossible to organise as you can specify any conditions when ordering an uber.
Uber drivers are just like you, people who choose to use their car to ferry people around and get paid for that. You may luck out and get a car with a booster however I doubt that you will find a baby seat, given that the owner of the car would have to have one already and be willing for your baby to travel in it. You can try I guess. An Uber will take you to the airport but you will not be able to organise a pick up, at least at Sydney airport.
