I remember a lot of people not liking it but would it be worth it at this price? Also I remember a lot of people hating it compared to other Paper Mario games but I've never played any other Paper Mario games so I won't have a preconceived notion of what it should be like, with that in mind would I enjoy it?
I thought you were trying to buy a large Mario star to stick on your wall.

It's okay. The battles feel less of an impact than in previous Paper Mario games COUGH THOUSAND YEAR DOOR COUGH and I, personally, got confused about progression in a few later stages of the game. (There's a pile of snow I have to melt. Lighter doesn't work, match doesn't work, heater doesn't work, what works!?)
But, yeah, for $20 I'd say it's alright, you'll like it more if you haven't played Thousand Year Door.
Read some reviews to get a good idea, or at least read the summaries or look at the scores.
