Reusable Nespresso pods - "Sealpod", etc any good?

I've noticed a lot of people buying Nespresso machines…
has anyone tried reusable / resealable pods like "Sealpod" or any other version?

I'd be keen to try if they work well! (as I have a decent grinder and heaps of local roasters nearby).

TIA

If you have a decent grinder and heaps of good local roasters nearby, why do you even bother considering a Nespresso machine? It makes no sense…

Stop watching those George Clooney ads…I have just saved you from regretting a purchase later…I got a Nespresso by the way…

    • to some people it does make sense, people buy nespresso coffee machines for all kinds of reasons, 1,it looks cool, 2, fresh(1 capsule 1 coffee) 3,taste good, choices of intensities and styles 4, because a friend of mine has one at home/office, I want to get one as well 5, the machine itself is cheap+cash back offer…etc

how cool is that you use you own reusable pod to stuff the coffee you like, not limited to the choices of coffee Nespresso gives or other plastic capsules marked"compatible with nespresso machine" on the box. after all, the coffee comes out from a modern, must-have coffee machine called Delongi. Life can't get even better. also, it is cheap! (don't let me start on how much it cost you for each capsule, to some one it is cheap if use a reusable pod)

to stonedewok, you can find reviews on YouTube about those reusable pods, cheers, happy shopping and merry xmas

    Get an aeropress instead

  • Sealpod is probably one of the best reusable capsules I've used. There's been plenty of terrible ones but I find that the Sealpod is brilliant. I can buy and grind my own coffee and make the pods ahead of time and seal them off.
Pricey but you're still saving a little bit

    • I'm interested to find out more about the Seal Pod capsules.
What do you mean but "Pricey but you're still saving a little bit"? Has anyone seen them in stores or are they online only?

      • A two pack of seal pods + 102 sticker lids are $52
A 1224 pack of sticker lids are $125

I've only seen them online at Crema Joe or eBay. If you're in Melbourne, you can hit up Crema Joe on Facebook and ask if they do pick up to avoid the delivery cost

  • anyone got any recommendations for the Dolce Gusto machine for resealable pods?

p.s. pod machines are fantastic for the office.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I saw this on Kickstarter - a stainless steel, reusable Nespresso pod.
