Hi all,
Travelling to Delhi for 2 nights in transit to the rest of Rajasthan and then to Goa.
Any tips on where to stay in Delhi? I have heard some good, and lots of bad. More interested in areas, as opposed to specific hotels, unless you have any to recommend.

Plan right now is:
29-Dec arrive Delhi
30 delhi
31 delhi to agra via early morning train
1-Jan agra to jaipur via evening train
2 jaipur
3 jaipur
4 arrive jodhpur via midnight or 6am train
5 jodhpur
6 jodhpur to udaipur by hiring a driver (?)
7 udaipur
8 udaipur to goa (fly)
9 goa
10 goa
11 goa
12 ga
13 Depart Goa
ok…central delhi is close to the train station but is way too crowed. There are either cheap hotels there (which I would not recommend) or top of the range.
Suggest you look for Ambassador which is about 15-20 mins from the train station or any hotel around south delhi. This way you will be close to the shopping areas as well.
Or stay at WelcomHotel Dwarka, dwarka is very close to Delhi airport and the airport express connects to the train station. By taxi Dwarka to Delhi train station should be 30 mins early morning.
Thank you for the suggestion. In an attempt to be close to shopping, sights, etc., but also in a more top-of-the-range hotel, I was considering Connaught Place. Any thoughts?

are all perfectly located.
How are you travelling to Rajasthan and Goa? Delhi is a big city with traffic waiting to irk you…so where you stay will depend if you are travelling by air/train/road from Delhi..
