Minix Neo x8-h plus 4K quad-core media hub,Kodi and streaming from my PC

I'm using Apple TV with Netflix on three tvs for past two years and only just found out about Kosi lol, I have two chromecast I got on a deal but still boxed as not sure what more they can do Apple TV can't?
I may end up selling the chromecasts.
I have seen this box Minix Neo x8-h plus 4K quad-core media hub.
And have heard good things about them and other minix boxes.
Is this the newest and best minix out there? Is it better and newer than z64?
Is the Minix Neo x8-h plus 4K quad-core media hub good for Kodi etc?and who has them for best price,possibly with air keyboard remote.
Is it easy to install Kodi into them and any links where to do so and is it easy to keep it updated or when issues happen with Kodi and machine.
I did install Kodi on my PC yesterday and trying to figure how I can stream from say my PC to tv or any other tv.
I was thinking hdmi but don't have hdmi I'm sure on PC and to close by and could have linked that way.
Is there a way I can stream to the chromecasts I have to other tvs.

It be good to be able to stream from my PC but also buy the above machine for say main tv.

How long has this device been out as I'm sure there maybe another around the corner,or is there better ones out there for this.
Be great full of any info as want to get into this Kodi as much as I like Netflix using my Apple TV I want a bit more.

    Kodi is a front-end interface not really a streaming server.
    I presume the Minix is an Android box, if so, installing Kodi is as simple as downloading from the Play Store.
    Android TV sticks have been around for years.

      Kodi can stream media, Im using it as my secondary DLNA server.

    you're probably better off getting a sheild tv. if you want to go along those lines, see whats selling best on aliexpress (search for tv box) and get one of those, you will save probably more than half the price of the minix and it will do exactly the same job. the only difference is the minix will be a little more polished in terms of the android operating system.

    I just read the last part, you can install kodi on an apple tv, just have to jail break it, i think they might have stopped supporting apple tv just recently.

      I would probably go intel cherry trail, if i was going to buy a new device. geekbuying is a good site to get your head around different models, chips, etc. and the prices are fairly reasonable and dhl shipping is cheap.

    Could have got Sheild tv recently from here at special price from us but thought it might not be suitable and have been looking into the minix what makes the Sheild better?
