Woolworths $5 for $30 edr offer works with with $10 for $100

Interesting, $5 woolies dollars for $30 spend with edr card can be claimed at the same time as $10 woolies dollars for $100 spend (of you happen to have the $5 for $30 spend offer available to you).

Also a surprise was that the $5 for $30 can be used multiple times.

As well as cash rewards %5 off that's a good discount I think.

  • Cool story.

    • Glad you liked it.

  • I had $10 off $40 targeted and $10 off $100 catalog so got $20 off $101 shop.

So you're saying I can reuse the $10 off $40? How do you know?

    • I got the $5 2 days ago. Then I went to use the $10 for $100 today, and got $15 back (and I didn't buy any woolworths edr items). The $5 added message looks exactly the same on the receipt as the one two days ago. The original receipt made out I could do the $5 offer again from 7/12/2015, but it gave it anyway. Hope that helps.

      • It applies once a week for two weeks so perhaps you got the second weeks one redeemed

        • I don't think so. The latest receipt reminds me I can do it again from the 7th of December.

        • Ok, purchased a $50 gift card today. After taking off my previous $20 woolworths dollars balance, it cost $30. I again received the $5 for $30 for this transaction (and it noted I received it on the receipt). So far it has given the $5 rewards three times within the first week.

        • @Gofast: what type of gift card? I thought they were excluded?

        • $50 Kathmandu. Got $5 for $30 spend, plus the $10 from the current catalogue offer!

  • The terms and conditions for these targeted offers are very confusing and it appears that there have been technical glitches as well. Enjoy the bonus discounts while they last.

  • I received the $5 for 30 spend offer as well. But I did not get any reward dollars after I did $30 OPAL top up. Can someone confirm that OPAL top up and phone recharge are excluded now. Thanks.

    • Opal counts as "Selected Services" which I believe are excluded under the terms and conditions of the offer.

    • In this week's email:

Qualifying amount must be spent in a single transaction within the offer period, and excludes BWS, liquor, withdrawals of cash, smoking/tobacco products, gift cards, recharge, WOW Connect, tickets (bus, train, state based travel cards such as Opal etc) and Carpet Care.

So yes it's excluded. I didn't get my bonus dollars last week after an Opal top up either but if you contact customer support you should be able to get your bonus dollars manually credited as Opal top ups weren't in the exclusion list before this week.

      • Yes, I noticed they'd changed the wording in the reminder email this week. The also clarified whether you had to spend everything in one transaction. Last weeks email wasn't consistent in the fine print regarding whether you had to use one or many transactions to make the target.

      • +1

Thanks. Just got my $5 credited through online chat
