Best Easiest Product to Remove Thick Dry Cracked Skin from Feet

Hello All,

I get thick dry cracked skin on my feet in summer when I wear thongs a lot.
I do not like wearing shoes when I am hot unless I have to, such as for work.
Previously, I used a cheap ped-egg from Kmart but it was such a vigorous workout that on hot nights I would sweat, not to mention sometimes the damn thing would fly out of my hand, hit the floor, open, and spill powdered skin everywhere. Delicious !

So my question is:
What is the best and easiest product to use to remove thick dry skin from my feet?

All help appreciated and thanks in advance for the serious helpful answers and the funny ones.

Cheers,

Adhoc.

  • Try the Scholl Express Pedi. A++, would buy again.

It's fantastic. No effort at all and it gets rid of all the nasty hard skin really quickly.

Just use it outside or in the (dry) shower recess because there will be a fine powder of skin flying off the roller which is a bit gross.

Also remember to use a thick foot moisturiser on your heels after you shower to help stop the skin from going hard in the first place.

  • Consider this. You can select blue or pink. With 2 replacement rollers the total cost is $12.98. Absolutely identical to the $30 one my wife got in Chemist Warehouse, without replacement rollers, except you provide the batteries.

Glider just beat me to it!

    • +1

      Thanks Glider and PJC,
Chemist Warehouse had these for $30, but only $13 delivered on Ebay.
I might order one and see how it goes.

  • I would recommend Milky Foot…

You put your feet in little booties full of liquid for around 1 hour then rinse off…after a week or so all the dead skin just peels off your feet…it's slightly freaky but extremely effective and hassle free!!

    • Thanks Shoppingisfun,
I was looking at similar stuff to this at the chemist, but its a cream and $10 and no little baggy for the feet, I would just use glad wrap.
Does it burn your feet ? or cause any problems ?
      Thanks.

      • Hi Adhoc,
I'm not sure about the cream you saw…Some creams you apply every night for several months to basically rehydrate the skin…the one I am thinking of is Eulactol. Milky Feet is quite different in that in works in one application. It didn't hurt at all, the only wierd bit was when all the dead skin started peeling off but my feet felt great afterwards …really soft…and stayed good for ages!

  • The backless shoes are not helping. Think of your foot like a tomato that splits open, because of pressure, & not being held in at the back.

    • Thanks red-hot,
I read it, my feet are fine when I wear normal shoes, just I love wearing thongs as much as I can in summer.
