Looking for a good travel tripod under $200

Hello ozbargainers!

I'm looking to buy my gf a travel tripod for Xmas! We've looked at a bunch and narrowed it down to a few but looking for suggestions!

Slik Sprint Pro II
Inca 3642b
FW20T Featherweight
Manfrotto MK Compact

I'm most curious about the Inca 3642B. It seemed sturdier than all the other tripods although known to be a weak brand. I can't find any reviews on this model.

My Ms' uses a Pentax K30 with 2 basic lenses, so weight shouldn't be a problem. She also doesn't want me to spend more than $150, but she doesn't need to know. If it's good for a GoPro as well that's an added bonus.

This will be her first tripod.

    I just bought this a few days ago and got them today for 129 plus 2.5% eBay cash back. I'm pretty happy with it!

    It is not designed for heavy full frame cameras but is remarkably compact. Under 40cm min height folded, opens up to 1.35m, Max loads 4kg, weight 1.27kg.

      Ah yes, I remember seeing this one in the store as well! How sturdy is it fully extended? I suppose that's my biggest concern. I'll have to look more into it, thank you

        I also have a larger taller heavier one I bought from a friend so I compared them. Without a doubt, the larger one is more steady as its heavier and legs are fatter.

        But with my smallish mirrorless Olympus camera, it was quite steady to the point I had no issues with it whatsoever.

        If its in a store near you, mahbe try it out? Hard to describe how steady it is.

        Oh and I bought this specifically as a travel tripod as well!

    The general rule with using tripod is not to extend the centre column for stability.

    The vanguard veo series are are nice package. There are VEO camera bags that has a compartment for VEO tripods.
