  Mine just arrived. Initially wouldn't charge when plugged in via PC USB.

  Tried plugging it into the external phone charger and works a treat. I suspect my USB ports simply don't supply enough power.

    that gives me hope!

    BUT, I really did want a dock that charged properly as well as is connected to my computer for data transfer, to minimise replugging and unplugging

      update! I tested this on a USB port which apparently supports 2A charging and I'm getting both data and power through mine.

      However I'm charging an Xperia Z5 on it and its quite slow, several hours to fully charge.

  Mine doesn't charge either, when I have a case on my phone (LG G4). Does charge when the phone's case is off. Bit annoying since I like to always leave the case on.

    I think you'll find that's the case with most docks. I'm yet to come across a dock that will work while you have a case on for any phone.
