(MAC OS Only) QuickScale (US$9.99 -> Free)

Moved to Forum: Original Link

QuickScale is designed to let you resize a large amount of pictures to a desired size and format. Now, why would you want to do that? For example, if you wish to share your holiday photos with family and friends, you can either send them by e-mail or put them somewhere on a website. The problem is that these pictures are usually far too large, have immense resolutions, and take far too long to send.

Meet Quickscale: select the images, choose a desired resolution, and Quickscale resizes them down for you. QuickScale can read from, and write to almost every format supported by your Mac OS (including jpg, png, gif, and more).

resize large amount of pictures would mean batch processing.
but batch is not available unless you purchase via in app.
so what's the point of a free batch processing app that doesn't do batch unless you buy an in app?
I'm a little confuse, maybe it's not free but a trial.
    In-APP for batch is $9.99

Doesn't Automator do this already? And come free and pre-installed on all Macs? What's the advantage of this software?

  • I doubt there are many email clients which won't resize large photos when sending? Or else send cloud-hosted copies?

  • Yeah it says $9.99 to unlock. NO DEAL.
