Mobile broadband wifi device recommendation

Hello fellow Ozbargainer. I am looking for a mobile broadband device which I can unlock and be used overseas. Ideally it can cover 900/1800/2100/2600MHz frequencies.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • There is a Huawei e5573 4g WiFi modem in the Coles catalogue Wed 9th to Tues 15th Dec. .. $34.50 includes 4GB data to be used in 14 days within Australia. It includes the frequencies you stated but does not have the 700 and 2300 bands, so is not the latest technology.

I unlocked 2 earlier models no problems so should not be a problem…https://unlock4modem.in/unlock-huawei-e5573-4g-mobile-wifi-router-use-another-sim/

    • What method did you use to successfully get an unlock code?

  • Follow the link in my post above…simple sim swap deception.

    • Not really a sim swap deception if you're paying for the unlock code. This is how you would do it if you were to unlock any other devices

  • Thanks for the replies. I ended up getting the Optus Huawei E5573, which turned out to be unlocked. Seems to be a great unit for $49. Though the battery is only 1500mah.
