    These are not polarised.
Why Ray Bay continue to sell unpolarised sunglasses in 2015 is beyond me.

      • In my case polarised sunglasses help me see LED traffic lights much better.

      • Source?

      • Never had issues with led lights, lcd displays in cars and on my motorbike are an issue though.

Yep - easy way to tell if a pair of sunnies is polarised, turn your phone screen 90 degrees. I can see my Z2 screen fine vertically, but switch to landscape and it looks like the screen is off.

    • $73.95USD?

      I think so.

    • That's USD and doesn't ship to Australia

      • yep my bad. neg revoked.
I just did a quick google search, because i bought some wayfarers off amazon a few years back for around $75. i now think it must have been the uk site, when the AUD was stronger.

I brought the calvin klein perfume for $25

    • I chose 2 items using your link, and got 'coupon conditions have not been met'. anybody know what this coupon will apply to?

  • Thanks champ! I just smashed mine. Signed up and bought for 109. Too easy. BTW, my others were polarised and was really annoying. Glad to buy normal lenses.

Hope they arrive before I go away end of next week.

    • My order arrived in less than a week. Good luck.

  • Merged from Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunnies up to $100 OFF (from $129) + $10 Shipping from CatchOfTheDay

Received this in my email today, appears to be a good sale, add $9.99 for shipping.

Please note - most styles are not polarised. There is one pair of 'new-style' and one pair of 'wrap-style' that are, if that tickles your fancy.

I purchased RayBans from COTD once. Never again. (note, they refunded me no worries though)

Frames were genuine, but the lenses were not the same as found in Aus retailers. I compared them to a pair at Myer, same model, COTD lens was a cheap chemist type lens. They were legit RayBans, but not made for the Australian market. Might be worth keeping that in mind.

Oh no way.. what a shame. This doesn't feel like a great deal anymore..

      • Thanks for sharing tuba. That's useful information.

I don't have any from COTD but I bought 1 from Amazon and compared it to one in Sunglass Hut and they are 100% identical. I don't think there's any Ray Bans that are "Made for Australia".

Ive never compared my Polarised raybans from catch to Australian Stock, I have had them a couple of years now and I find them very good. I know several other who have bought non Polarised from catch without problems.

Edit: Just had a look at the Australian rayban website they have listed Green Lenses G-15 which are the same that COTD listed on the "Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses" product.

        • exactly..theres no reason to suspect COTD as selling anything other than genuine stock

        • -3

Ill repeat, they are GENUINE but the lens is not the same. I had them both in my hands, side by side in Myer, with the staff member. I returned them to COTD, and purchased Aussie stock from Sunglass Hut for more money. I didnt do this for fun. Ive had more than one pair of RayBans, I knew something wasnt right when I got them.

I did not say they were fake. What I said is they are not made for this market. I also did not state that all RayBans sold by COTD would be the same. Just that not for this market versions exist, and COTD do sell them.

          @Tuba:

Just to make it clear for those interested in buying these Ray Bans.
The lenses from current COTD sale are same as you would get from http://www.ray-ban.com/australia/

          @Hayesy22:

          thanks

I dunno what Tuba is raging about

        • @sinishta:
Most likely polarised vs non-polarised, and he noticed the different thickness/shade of the lens
Some sunnies come in two version.

        • @cwongtech:
Both were the same. I had a senior staff member from Sunglass Hut in Myer look with me, she didnt just tell me they were not the same, she showed me how. Lens was flatter, less light got through, not as clear. They were fine as sunglasses, much like decent chemist glasses can be. But they werent RayBan good. We had both pairs side by side.

Ive had 3 pairs of RayBans over the years and still have all of them, the COTD purchase was a present for my son to lose at the beach. I ended up buying the same pair for him from Sunglass Hut. I can assure you, I didnt do it for no reason.

        • @Tuba:
Alright you RayBan fan. I'll stick with my Cancer Council sunnies, also made by Luxottica.
