$20 (2 x $10) Free Credit for Taxi Booking through a Referral Link ($5 for Referrer) on InGOGO app

120

Guys,

Got this as a deal, It's $5 Credit for the referrer and $20 for the Referee.
If you use the app to book and use this code you'll get $20 free credit to book a normal taxi. I have used them before and its normal yellow cabs in Vic and works well.

Our rewards program ingogoREFER lets you give your friends $20 worth of taxi (that’s $10 off their first 2 trips) credit on us! And we’ll give you a $5 credit each time they take their first trip just to say thanks.

How it works

  1. Update to the latest version of the ingogo app
  2. Open ingogo and select the cog icon in the top right corner of the screen
  3. Select Refer a friend
  4. Now share your promo code either via facebook, Twitter, email or SMS, or all of them!

You can refer as many friends as you like, so start sharing the ingogo love!

Just get your friends to download the ingogo app and enter your promo code before they take their first trip. When they take it, we’ll credit you with $5. It’s that easy!

  • With GoCatch started charging booking fees to both passenger and driver, users are switching back to ingogo again

There is a $2 booking fee with Ingogo as well.

    Uber has $30 promo code

I'd rather use Uber, taxis are dusted

Yep, thing of the past now

  • The question is: since you will be paying for the trip by a credit card saved in your ingogo account, will it attract 10% surcharge the same way as when you are paying by CC to a taxi driver?

  • Q. What are the costs for booking and paying for a licensed taxi?
    Booking Fee
If you hail or book a taxi in advance and complete the trip, a booking fee of $2.00 is applied. This is less than other service providers who charge up to $2.40.

    Surcharges
Standard state government surcharges are capped in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australian at 5%. And in Queensland and South Australia this is 10%. ingogo charges this surcharge in line with the rest of the taxi industry.

    Other Fees
Other fees such as fees for tolls and airport fees are added to the metered fare.

So they are stinging extra creditcard fees for no reason, another reason to stick with Uber,

So you still have to pay the 5-10% surcharge for paying with a credit card through the app?

I only got $10 when using your code?

    • That is strange, because it did say 20 $ credit on the email, I got an email saying a friend has used the referral.

    • That's because you're supposed to get $10 off on your first and second ride (so $20 in total).

  • Tip for young parents: the only reason I downloaded the app is because you can book a taxi and select that you need a car seat. I didn't want to risk one without a seat when going to the airport early in the morning. Similarly, you can select your preferred vehicle including a wheelchair accessible one or a station wagon.

  • Ingogo now uses fixed fare so there are no variable or surge pricing. It does have a higher quote than Uber in some hours of the day, but having that certainly of how much you'll be paying is actually quite good.
