  Looks like you need to have the bowl in your freezer for at least 24 hours before you can use it…

    ive actually got one of these, you do have to put the bowl in the freezer however, i store mine in my back freezer untill i need to use it… and it does work really well.

    I can imagine making ice cream is an absolute pain in the arse.
    So much trouble for 1.5L. Doesnt seem worth it.
    Would a more expensive ice cream maker be easier to use?

      I just got the kambrook version from DS for 5 bucks the other day. It works the same with the bowl in the freezer, but is a piece of piss to make the ice cream and about 8 minutes in time from when you put the cream etc in the bowl. It's somewhere between shop bought ice cream and soft serve but it's delicious. The bowl is 220ml but at 8 minutes each if it's just for a couple of people it's enough. I think the cheapest at the moment is the good guys for 14 bucks.

  I have this and use microwave popcorn and boil it with milk on the stove to make butter popcorn ice cream

  only problem is I eat the whole lot in one go usually

  Thanks for your comments guys, I was fighting the urge to make a completely unnecessary purchase, because that colour is fantastic, and ice-cream! But if you need to freeze the bowl for 24 hrs, then I may as well make it the old fashioned way and use the money I saved on some watermelon paint.
