Hi guys, i've been looking for a phone with these limitations but I can't find anything too great.

I've looked around the forums and other sites but it seems people are suggesting generally quite large phones.

Do you guys have any insight to this? any suggestions?

You mean 5.2"? Xperia z2,z3, huawei p8 should fall under your criteria.

    No. Z2 is 5.2" and I have used it for months..fantastic battery life.

      The z2 is 5.78 inch including the body. Its only the screen that is 5.2 inch.
      
      Im still considering the phone though but most likely wont get it due to how large it is.

Probably an indirect answer but I just bought my mom the Motorola Moto X (2nd Gen) for approx AU$370 (thanks to 10% off on ebay mobileciti and cashrewards).

Specs: Motorola Moto X 2nd Gen

I've noticed the Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen is quite a popular phone here on OzBargain (as a backup phone).

My personal advice is to look for something with at least 16GB internal storage and 2GB of RAM. Anything less makes the phone laggy and pretty much unusable nowadays.
