Has Anyone Heard of Ultimate4trading? Is It a Scam or Not?

It is an algorithm related trading platform.

I can't seem to find any reviews about it apart from ones they have made themselves.

Has anybody used this, or know of anyone that has used it?

It looks too good to be true (so it probably is).

If I had the secret to successful trading that could make me filthy rich I wouldn't be selling my secret.

  • All trading "systems" end in failure.
If nothing else, the web design should tip you off it is giving you the hard sell ;-)
Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Random_Walk_Down_Wall_Street for a good overview of why programmatic systems have failure baked in.
The exception is HFT, which is a system, I suppose. But it relies on privileged access to trade information and requires lots of infrastructure to make a few cents every trade. So far, it is proving to be a sure money maker - which leads me to believe it will be banned in the longer term, as it is effectively a private transaction tax on the market.

  • I thought the idea with Binary Options is that the more you play the more you lose due to the statistical distribution of wins and losses.

Sometimes someone will get very lucky and win big. On average there are only losers.

It's basically an automated loss system… At least with a casino you can choose how much you want to lose.

No idea what they are betting on but usually binary options providers only allow you to guess within a short timeframe, i.e. what is the next tick going to be, up or down, and who the heck knows that?

The demo will also function differently than the live brokers as the broker you choose will have a different price feed. This could result in slippage from the price you expected to bet on. For example, it is basically 100% guaranteed that there will be requotes on FX brokers live platform and barely none on the so called live demo. This is not binary options, but they do deploy a similar business model.

The software developer gets money from commissions from the broker they refer you to. This is the same profit scheme as forex software on the market.
