Yes the write speed is only 2MBps faster than the older non Plus (+) version.
Very few devices or situations will see a difference between 48MBps and 80MBps read speed.
Almost any newer high end phone will see a difference. I see a difference between Extreme Plus and Extreme Pro on my LG G4.
Just FYI, I bought one of these a last week, and they took 1 week just to dispatch it. While the price is decent, I'd look elsewhere if you're in a hurry
