    Trash. Buy Fallout or The Witcher 3. If you have them then buy their DLC instead. I wasted my money on this at launch, it isn't going to get any better either if the PC version is any thing to go by.

      If you really want it though, buy a hard copy for $8 more and save yourself some quota.

      • Does the physical copy have any resale/swap value as it is essentially the Account Code that gives access - and once used, would arguably be personalised!?

        • Ok thanks for the info

        • Only the extras have codes. The disc is just a base item to be able to play - like Destiny.

        • Excuse my ignorance I've only just played the PC version on the free weekend - my understanding was as it is a MMORPG you need code to access the servers and thus activate the content on your console/pc

          I've seen on sites offering digital downloads of the game statements such as
          "Once activated on the Elder Scrolls Website, the code will be ‘used’ and the Elder Scrolls Online product key will be permanently binded to your online account."

          @Wally:

          Hard copies of the PS4/Xbone versions are different. All you need is a (free) account and the disc. It's free unless you want to buy a subscription or ingame currency. Digital is different also; you need a key in order to "tell" PSN that you have ESO and want to download it and add it to your library. PC versions are different yet again; they were released prior to the game going free to play, so keys come (or came, not sure) with a months subscription. The console versions were released when the game went free to play, thus no longer needing keys.

          @Dagmar:
          Ok,thanks so having the disk in the console is the signal to the ESO servers to let you in!

    • Didnt know this game is bad…. I thought Skyrim was good

        Skyrim is amazing. Skyrim this is not.

        • Oh, I thought they'd patched it since release so it was a lot better? I loved the single-player Elder Scroll series, so it's a pity that this one isn't as good…

  • Had this game on PC at release and it had its problems. A few months in and many patches later it ran perfectly.

    There are small touches that make it feel like an Elder Scrolls game but over all it does feel quite different. It is an MMORPG so they've designed it to play like one while preserving as much of the feel from the Elder Scrolls series as they could manage. If you're expecting the next Skyrim, you'll likely be disappointed. If you're expecting a half decent MMORPG with decent quests and pretty good story following the Elder Scrolls lore then you'll probably enjoy it :)

    Can't vouch for the PS4 version and how it runs, but considering how far the PC version came I'd expect the PS4 version would be on point. Considering getting this to play with a mate as a couch MMO.
