Domino Pizza Pay?

Is anyone currently working for domino pizza and know about the current hourly payrate? I know that they pay $18.09 p/h but do they really pay per delivery?

And $18.09 would that be under the age of 21 or over?

Since its decemeber and won't be easy to find a proper job. as I'm in need for income anything will do.

  • I worked at Domino's at the start of this year as a Delivery Driver.

As a driver you are also expected to help serve customers and clean when you are not on the road. Cleaning can be the major job of a delivery driver, particularly during quiet periods. I ended up washing in excess of 150 pizza trays most nights and was still in the store for up to an hour after close finishing the dishes and mopping the floor.

Domino's does NOT pay any penalty rates for nights/weekends, even after midnight and their is no provisions for breaks. I regularly worked from 5-6pm all the way through until 1am without a break.

    • That last paragraph is wholly illegal. Did you approach the FWO regarding this?

  • +1

If you get a job just in the kitchen then you can end up making a lot of dough.

    • So cheesy…

      • It's not easy to be cheesy…

  • That pay sounds right, have a friend who works there as a delivery driver who gets $18 per hour.

This $18 per hour rate is the casual rate too for all drivers.

Dominos do not pay per delivery and you can get on average $5 in tips per night (more or less depending on area).

Dominos also do not pay for fuel or maintenance of your vehicle. Chances are you will have to provide your own car too unless the store provides one.

    • With the Australian minimum wage now in excess of $17 per hour for non-casual employees over 18 years of age, how does $18 per hour cover a 25% casual loading??

  • The car is not the problem, since I already own one and I'm on full license. Do they pay cash in hand or bank deposit? Just need something to get by through New Years.

On the advertisement it said drivers wanted, do u really also need to work in the other areas?

    • Bank Deposit.

You should just be fine working at the one store unless the store manager/franchisee owns several stores and wants you to work at others.

  • I been looking through countless threads, but doesn't dominos compensate for your fuel at the end of of week? They replied back to me for an interview which I'm less worried about.

The only thing is $18.09 is that for any age above 21? I'm assuming it should increase after the first couple of months or every year, this should be standard as retail gives roughly $20-$23, then again it's another area. It was advertised it's for drivers so assuming nothing else needs to be done, but it states that part time and full time preferred 4-6days, It's quite vague.

Untill I see this guy in person I should know.

Other option is to do flight centre, I'm not a fan of sales, but the probation period thing really annoys me as your not stable, I still need to reply back to that one.
