Travel credit card with no fees/low credit limit?

Hi all,

I'm needing a travel credit card for emergencies only, with no fees and a low credit limit.

I don't earn oodles of cash, and was rejected for the 28 degrees travel card ($6000 minimum limit)

Any other suggestions? I'm looking for a max limit of $1000.

      Just applied for the Bankwest Platinum card and got rejected too, even though I bank with them and they can see my income/savings….oh well lol

      I have the Citibank Plus debit card, that will have to do :)

    I know you said credit, but a Citibank Plus (Visa debit) works great and charges no fees for overseas ATM withdrawals (the machine operator may charge you though) or foreign purchases. For example, in Japan you can withdraw from ATMs at 7-Elevens using this card for no charge.

      +1 I have a 28 Deg, but now use my Citibank Plus for O/S (If you want complimentary travel insurance/ car hire insurance you will also need to get something like the Citi Signature credit card).

      So I book with the Signature, and then use the Plus card when I get there. Most recently there was No ATM charges in Thailand (but they do have Citi ATM's in Bangkok).

        citibank for ATM withdrawals and for purchases.
        28 degrees for purchases

    Thanks guys, I had already applied for the Citibank Plus, but its a credit card I need for a true emergency. Thank you for the suggestions though!!
