Guy stole my phone and was convicted, but I have to enforce the warrant for its reimbursement?

Hi guys, so my phone was stolen a while ago. I was being a naive, good samaritan and let him borrow my phone and he ran off with it. The police were able to identify and convict the guy of theft (he also had a record and had multiple other charges against him). He was fined by the law, but to get back the money for my phone, I was told I have to enforce some sort of warrant to make him pay. Does anyone know what the procedure is like and whether it's worth my time to try and get back ~$600? Any help on my rights and what I need to do would be appreciated! :)

you have the right to call bikies

  • If $600 is nothing to you then congrats, forgive and forget… otherwise I'd crack down and hunt the thief. Have you asked the thief to politely return the phone btw?

U can do but pretty sure thief account is empty to get back money unless u got content insurance. But yea u will waste time unless thief start work and pay u back or he still got your phone and will returned u back. But u can take action to prevent to happen others.

  • Is your phone trackable? If so find him and get your phone back

  • Small claims court? Probably not worth the hassle though.

don't bother, waste of time and effort

even if the order is made, he'll pay you back (or not) at $5 a week
