9kg Gas Bottle

Never needed to own a gas bottle but finally decided to get a real bbq instead of using the little camp stove. Where can I find the cheapest 9kg bottle?

Google and Yellow pages are always the best bet. shop around online, and then make a choice factering in the cost of fuel and time to go get it. Also, compare is the bottle full or not, safety valve or contents guage extra, etc.

How did anyone shop around and buy anything before OzBargain came along I wonder and how long is a piece of string?

It is such a location based answer, as there are only 1780000 outlets and 279001 areas, and etc etc etc, and 7 States and Territories to start looking for the cheapest price. Here on the Sunshine Coast the cheapest ATM as at mid week was Bunnings, and if you live in ….anywhere else, that means jack. Well it was a new store opening special only.

If the top line answer did not help, repost with your real time location so someone local can answer you better.

A piece of string is twice the length from the middle to the end. ;)

If you can find an old bottle somewhere then swap and go, just more convenient than waiting for the guy at the servo fill up your gas container when ever you run out.

My local tip will give you an out of date empty bottle for free. Coles express will swap out if date bottles for no extra charge.

  • Great tips thanks guys, I'm also on the sunshine coast but I love that tip/coles idea keggs!
