Bunnings Return Policy if Item Doesn't Reach Expectations

I'm considering purchasing an airless paint sprayer from Bunnings. The choice is between an Ozito model for $349 and a Wagner model for $599.

Spec wise the Ozito seems pretty good. I've seen mixed reviews online, from it's crap to it's awesome.

Anyone know if I bought the Ozito and tried it out and it ended up being crap, would Bunnings do a refund?

  • what reason will you give them when you ask for a refund?

  • That the sprayer couldn't handle the job that it was designed to do or I suppose it's not spraying properly. I've seen a couple of posts online of people returning other sprayers because they were shit. I'm assuming it would be a case by case thing and up to the store. On the Bunnings return policy page it says if the item isn't faulty it needs to be in an unused resalable condition.

  • I renovate 1 or 2 houses a year. Paint everything, inside, outside, the roof, shed etc. I also paint for friends a few times a year for a little extra cash. So often enough that I'm sick of using a roller for exteriors, especially for doing roofs!

  • i think ozito have a 3 yr, no questions asked, replacement warranty

  • I have the wagner model a couple generations before the ones now and it can be a prick to clean. Dont know about the ozito.

In my experience, many people have difficulty with the air sprayers and a large percentage get returned because they are difficult to use.

You can return anything for refund if it isn't fit for purpose. So, if the marketing on the Ozito box states something and you find the contrary then you have every right to return it.

In my experience Bunnings are very lenient with their refunds, especially if you can prove purchase.

  • Thanks for the replies everyone. Very helpful. I'll purchase one tomorrow and hopefully it does the job!
