Exetel refund

First and foremost, MERRY CHRISTMAS Ozbargain community!

So i got this email yesterday from Exetel.

"This email is to confirm that Exetel is issuing a refund to your nominated payment account as a result of our decision earlier this year to move your broadband service onto a new plan. The amount to be refunded to your bank account or credit card account is as follows:
Credit Broadband Activation Fee: $59.99
Credit To Account Ending In: ****

In addition to this refund, Exetel is also offering to reimburse you for any incremental activation costs you have incurred in connecting the above address to a new Internet Service Provider on transferring your account from Exetel. You will need to provide evidence of your activation fee in the form of an invoice from your new Service Provider, clearly showing any Service Activation charges in order for Exetel to calculate and process this component of your refund.

To confirm these Service Activation charges please email us at [email protected]"

Thinking it was some kind of spam/scam i thought nothing of it until i saw my bank account this morning in credit the exact amount issued in the email! I got nowhere when i tried to organise some kind of refund/compensation when i moved on due to their hike in price and then out of the blue, this!

Did anyone else receive the same email?
