Check the link for eligible products. Includes xbox live!
Not sure what 'participating retailers' are though.
Presumably you can buy this xbox 360 wireless controller for $37
http://www.game.com.au/xbox-360-wireless-controller/xbox-360…
and then get $16 cash back? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Looking forward to a string of great deals!
Oh and if anyone can find a cheap deal for 12 month xbox live gold membership

  • This looks good. Fishpond also has Xbox360 N-Wireless Network Adaptor for $99 ($69 if eligible for rebate - which works out to be < 1/2 RRP).

I've sent a Contact Us to GAME and Fishpond to see if they are participating retailers.

    • I think not for online stores.

    • wow and with a $10 off coupon would be $59 and free shipping.
      hope they are participating.

    • Price is now $126.97. 1 left in stock.

      • yeah i swear that happens every time someone posts a fishpond link =P

That sucks, but they might put the price down again like they did with Lips No 1 Hits (back down to $22).

Also, 12 month Live Gold for $70 (free delivery, then MS Rebate = $54)!

          • @grazer: Good price, but do we know Fishpond purchases qualify?

I presume it's a live gold subscription from overseas. Yes I know it won't make a difference to the code working, but you would think MS Australia would only give cashback for MS Australia products.

            • @AntMan76: According to fishpond Gaming Manager, fishpond do qualify for the 20% MS rebate.

          • @grazer: oh no way! it's $22 again?
i just bought it from the uk for slightly more =[

@grazer: Forget $54…you can get 12 month LIVE from gamecard.com.au for $49.80…plus you don't need to stuff around with redemptions. :D

            • @ShortyX: can you get the 12 month live membership from gamecard and then claim back the 20% ?

  • From various other posts, I thought the Xbox360 controller from Game online was an Asian import, and if that's the case, wouldn't be eligible for the cashback… happy to be incorrect on the matter though!

    • I had a quick look and couldn't find the posts you are referring to.
I bought a controller from GAME online a couple of months ago and it was in English, had batteries, and serial number where the battery goes. Also on the outside packaging was a moulded product number.
I agree that if it's a grey import that it would probably be ineligible. Only way to know is to ask GAME (which I have and am waiting on a response).

Would like to know the participating retailers.

  • Hope the game controllers are legit, wouldn't mind picking up a extra one for my buddies!

  • If this is like their previous 20% off promos, just about everyone except the guy down the ally is a participating retailer. You send in your receipt and they refund 20% of that, not 20% of RRP. Thats how it worked previously and I got 2 items then. Correct if im wrong.

    • "….and you can redeem a Cash Back to the value of 20% off the recommended retail price (including GST)."

    • Sorry folks, dead wroing bout da rrp thing.
      Thv mrdave

  • good stuff!

  • You guys can wait. Meanwhile I just bought one off GAME, increasing the likelihood that they'll have run out of stock by the time GAME responds :-)

Either way, still a good price, hehehe…

    • GAME hasn't replied yet, but I just got a response from Fishpond saying that they are a participating retailer. I think $37 for a controller is good anyway ($21 is awesome though).

    • GAME online's Tax Invoice is pretty atrocious. I could doctor up something similar in MS Word with very little effort. But don't be get any ideas now! :-)

  • I like how they are giving cash back on the HD-DVD drives still….who has them for sale anymore?!! SNIGGER…

    • LOL They were good units!

      • Heck tho…if someone has one now and I can get $10 off….I'll grab it!

        • I have one in the garage but I cannot offer $10 off lol

          • @Turd: Ohh…no fair! - Ahh no biggie I have one anyways.

            • @naphman: Also got a brand new Toshiba HD-DVD player too! lol Bought an extra one incase mine died. Ahh long live HD-DVD!

              • @Turd: To be honest - 2x xbox ones, the LG supermulti, A2 player and the basic (A1?)
Yea…I went nutz when the $$$ dropped.
Did you swap your movies with "red2blu" WB USA?

                • @naphman: Nah I didnt. Yea I bought heaps of movies too! Put them in the Toshiba Box and never opened them again. But the quality is soooooo good. Using my Toshiba HD player as a DVD. :)

                  • @Turd: Likewise….in the end for the cost weighed against DVD versions it was cheaper and better quality…so ehh…

Heck one day we'll all Blu-Ray them…THEN after that online purchase them….THEN after that who knows…(mind implant???)

  • For the record, the Tax Invoice from GAME doesn't include an ABN, which is not only illegal, but probably won't qualify you for the offer. I've contacted GAME for a response.

  • Haha, suckers! GAME put the price of the controller back up to $79.95 today.

But they did acknowledge a problem with their Tax Invoice e-mail. The simple fix is just to go onto their Website and print another copy from there. Hope some of you managed to get the cheap controllers!

Myer is selling the Controller for $69 (see catalogue). Less the $16 cashback, that means the end price is $53. Not bad!
