25% off Everything at Games Paradise

GP25OFF

Games Paradise has good stock and good prices to begin with, this makes it a good deal with the extra discount.
The only problem is they have a history of long waits to ship orders. If you don't need/want these right away it's worth the saving.

Their facebook page has heaps of complaints of people not receiving things for months or wanting refunds, and no contact by the store itself. However it seems like its down at the moment or removed?
Here's their review page at product page: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/games-paradise.html
    And a reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/30w59x/australi…

    • Thanks for the info. I've only ordered from them one, and it came super fast… but it was poorly packaged. The board game was just wrapped in brown paper and shipped without any external protection, so the box got mangled. That wouldn't be an issue for most thing, but when it comes to board games, you keep the box; it's part of the product. They should package it in another box or in bubble wrap.

  • If it's in stock they are fine …… back-orders become a nightmare. I have used them. The other problem is their phone customer services closes at lunchtime ….. so if you don't call in the morning, then wait till next day.

    But they are cheap.

I've had bad experience with them, but would use again because of price and free shipping over $100.

They used to be great a few years ago, not sure if they have changed hands, or hold little stick due to currency fluctuations or are now using local distributors ????????

If you are in sydney, they also have a bricks ands mortar outlet.

The last time I ordered from them on a sale, all the items were listed as in stock, they were actually out of stock on half the items and I had to wait over 6 months for the order to be fulfilled completely.

Sure the saving was significant for the order at over $100 off but in hindsight I wouldn't put myself through the grief of having to chase them weekly for updates and outright lies on their back orders being fulfilled or ordered from their suppliers in a timely fashion.

I've also been told their bricks and mortar store do not share the same inventory system so you can't order and pickup.

  • Sounds like a certain NZL Amazon equivalent

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMING STORE.

You will not receive the item and will have to bank dispute in order to get a refund. They say all the right things over the phone. They will tell you stock is arriving today or has just arrived, it's BS. They will tell you the refund will be processed this afternoon, also BS.

    You have been warned.

One of the ladies at the counter is rude af at the Sydney store.

    • You could say this about a lot of stores though. The important thing about games paradise is almost every order is a hassle for the customer.

Naw, with 25% off I could get some good deals here! But now I'm not sure about ordering, since "In stock" might not actually be in stock…(milsims are similar - if in stock you're fine! Otherwise, you won't get your stuff).

I bought stuff from them once not during a sale. They took forever to ship, I had to chase them to get them to ship, things listed as in stock weren't so they weren't sent and I had to chase them up for a refund and one of the items I got was badly packed and arrived damaged.

Not a fun experience, so I'm done with them. Just order from Book Depository, Firestorm, OzGameShop, Games Empire, etc for much of the same stock for the same price or cheaper.

  • I have ordered from these guys maybe 4-5 times. First couple were fine; each order since had some problem - no stock, sent order with game missing, parcel lost - and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE to get any answers from them. You should see the email trails, with some message simply saying "Hello? Does anyone read these?". Finally got things sorted, but NEVER AGAIN.
Games Empire all the way for me. Usually cheaper and the guys there are just genuinely nice people.

Well, I decided to roll the dice and try. Everything was listed as 'in stock', so here's hoping….! With the 25% off and free shipping over $89, some of the prices come down to well under the other more reliable sites. Anyway, fingers crossed! (Did pay with PayPal in case of dispute)

  • I have similar experience to others who have already commented. Order about four times, the first time they were very fast, then they became slower, had poor customer service. The last order I had to wait almost six months for the order to arrive. I was tempted to order from them as the 25% off sale was very tempting, but when I did place the order, the offer expired. I ended up feeling more relief than disappointed. The idea of calling and chasing up with game paradise was such a waste of time.

IF anyone has any positive experience with game paradise, please let us know.
I have been using ozgameshop and they have always been fast.
