Crumpler Dry Red 3 Carry on Luggage $132.50 @ Myer (Free Postage)

250

Hi, although there are varying opinions as to the best carry-on luggage, I've never seen the Crumpler Dry Red 3 Carry On with Wheels on sale - usually it is around the $250 mark. Its $132.50 now at Myer (free postage as over $99).

I like it (and bought one) as I love the durability of Crumpler bags, and the design has been well thought through with some internal mesh pockets (and shoe bag), internal bungie and external compression straps. There are also plenty of other Crumpler bags on sale as well - with seemingly better discounts/different bags than on the Crumpler site.

It was price matched at David Jones last night, but this looks to have reverted to the normal RRP price. The bag is $295 on the Crumpler website (http://www.crumpler.com/au/dry-red-travel-collection/dry-red…).

Cheers

I don't think this is approved for carry on, its slightly too big i.e. Virgin airlines

I've used it on a few airlines. No issues so far.

Note though: had such a bad experience with Myer online shopping. I suggest you see if you can do a click and collect because this is old stock line.

      • Myer online shopping is the worst.

      • It's pretty close hence wouldn't visibly be oversized, however, if an airline has a total linear dimensions policy of 105cm, this one is over at 109cm.

    • 109cm vs 105cm for Virgin. No one is going to tell you to check your baggage over 4cm. Not to mention it can be squashed slightly if need be.

      • Don't be too certain. I saw Ryanair making a point of this….kind of if we allow this then people will keep pushing the limits. Make a size and stick to it philosophy.

90%+ times you can get away with it but just be prepared that one day you may be asked to put it in the hold and pay for the privilege.

Looks like a good bag though. Shame they don't make it square instead of tapering it for looks. Would prefer more space over looks

Ryanair is very specifically known for this.

2.7 kg is a bit heavy when you only get 7kg hand carry allowance.

    • I agree but all these mini suitcases for carry on are about that weight.

  • The red colour is now listed as sold out, but the Black is still available:

  • I have the dry red series (3 and 5 from memory) and the vis-a-vis, personally the later hardcases are slicker and better to use imo.

    Good price on them though.

  • nothing will beat Samsonite 72 hours 55cm, just 1.5kg weight
