What price did you pay all up? The website seems to let you bundle the sharpener at a discount.
$266.68 before Cash Rewards (another 4% if it goes through ok). I couldn't see any way to bundle the sharpener, but added it to the cart and did it all under one order.
Ok. Cheapest option seems to be direct from the website at $260.10 (no cash rewards though but I've never used CR anyway - is it safe???)
@petec_7: Which website? yourhomedepot.com.au for the bundle comes out at $289 for me for the knives + sharpener.
As for Cashrewards, I haven't used it for long (only 24 hours actually) but it looks safe enough if you're happy for your shopping habits to be monitored. They don't get access to your credit card so I can't imagine there should be too much of a problem. A lot of people here seem happy to use it.

I saw this earlier: they seem to have identical listings on their ebay store front, one for this price, the other for $319/$329 or whatever it is.

I saw that too however they are charging for shipping. If you can do pickup they might be a good option, and the 2 stage sharpener was a lower price with them too when I looked.
Yeah i did a quick search and sorted by price plus postage cheapest first and peters came out up top.
So i went with peters for the sharpener and yourhomedepot for the knives.

On a related note, I think there was a court ruling (in relation to vitamins maybe?) about dodgy inflated RRP. If everyone is selling way below RRP (like 50% of) then it is against the law to say that you're saving 50% off the RRP and saving 400 bucks, because NO ONE is charging the RRP. This seems to be the case with knife sets. Always way overvalued and then sold at half the price or less.

I have a set of these, best knives I've ever owned. I got a ceramic sharpening steel with mine and I'm a bit of a nazi with sharpening after every use, careful not to cut on anything other than wood chopping board etc. Still as sharp as the day I got them!
