Can't download Google products through wifi?

Hi all,

I came across a very weird problem here. I tried to download chrome & Google Drive on my newly reformatted PC through wifi dongle, but chrome will stuck at "downloading" with zero progress forever. However, when I use another laptop to connect through LAN cable to my modem, chrome will download itself just fine. What the hell is going on here? I still can download adobe reader etc with no issue too. It seem the problem only lies with google products. I can't seem to work around it. Please help me figure out. Thanks!

  • Can you copy and paste your hosts file here?

Go through your wifi network card settings and make sure all is in order.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/change-tcp-ip-set…

Use those instructions to compare the "ethernet" settings with the "wifi" card settings

    • oh and start up command prompt and type

      tracert www.google.com

Are you getting results to the end?

      • Yea, no problem navigating to google.com, gmail etc…only having issue when downloading…seriously what on earth is going on …just sooo weird..

    • It's set to obtain IP auto…no issue with other download, even torrent…for some reason only Chrome and Drive so far..
