Where to Find Better Deal for BNE to MEL One Way Ticket First Week of FEB?

Hi

I am booking my first domestic flight. Which airline or website would be best and cost effective? Please guide. Thanks

You have two airlines to really choose from Tiger and Jetstar

But after that it will depend on many factors like actual date and time. Flyinga day later may reduce your fare by $100 or increase it.. Just need to look at the alternative days

So you will need to be more specific.

One way to check is to use the Australian Frequent flyer website

    http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/book-flights/

Also keep in mind Jetstar's 10% off price beat.

    http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/what-we-offer/our-guarantees/pr…

also remember you will need to add baggage and food if you want that.

Looks like Tigerair is $79 with carry on only. You can price beat with Jetstar to save an extra 10% = $71.10

I think it's worth waiting for a week or two in case a sale comes up. I doubt the prices will go up before 20 Jan.

In future if you can book earlier you can often get a sale fare. Especially if you are not travelling during school holidays.

Another trick when looking for the cheapest flights is to consider alternative airports. In Brisbane the train/bus to Gold Coast airport is $16.28 or $13.02 off-peak for a go card fare. That's cheaper than the AirTrain to Brisbane Airport.

Right now Jetstar has $59 flights from OOL to MEL on sale until this Monday 11 Jan, and it includes your travel date of the first week of February.
