Tefal Aquaspeed 375 Iron - $68 @ Harvey Norman

180

Good deal on a good iron. Plenty of stock in store. Picked up one. Plenty of steam and heat and no drips. Still has to be slightly tilted up from flat to fill up, and blue plastic makes it harder to see water level.

RRP is $159.95

Myers has it on sale at $79.50 and would not match the price as they said it was below their cost price

David Jones does not seem to stock it

Think its about to be superseded by model 376 (which good guys has…just seems to be a different colour)

  • I bought this iron in oct 2013 for $83 delivered. Good iron but very heavy.

  • Auto shut off most important feature of any iron and this has that.

      Auto shut off

Of the iron or the wife's mouth? :)

  • Auto Shut off is the main reason for me to buy this. Great Find. Picked up one just a while ago.

  • I have been eyeing this off for a while, pretty sure it was on the site from around ten days ago. Then someone posted on OzBargain a better steam iron (more expensive though) so have been saving up for a 'proper' steam iron. Still upvoted.

I've had a few decent steam irons over the years, then I got kids. Now I buy two or three $10 irons at a time from KMart/Coles/Wollies/wherever and just chuck the busted ones out when one of the little darlings drops the iron on to the tiled floor. It means I always have a working iron available to iron my work shirt in the morning, it's far less expensive than having to replace a decent iron and there's no jail time involved after having strangled the child for breaking yet another iron.
