My parents will be coming to visit us in QLD for 90 days, and I want to get them a VERY CHEAP sim-only plan (they have one android phone). less than 1G data is sufficient for 90 days, and they will mostly be receiving calls, not making calls. 4G is not a requirement (but some data is).

I'm using Amaysim PAYG sim for this exact purpose - credit valid for 3 months too.
A 1 min call is 12c and that's all they should need :)
Amaysim is ok.
i tried last time, their support service is close to useless
took them 3 weeks to send me the sim (after few emails and long calls)
and the sim was activated the day i ordered. So the credit only valid for 9 weeks
Lebara….if you have lebara as well nothing like it as calls between lebara are free. $10 a month for 1GB data.
