Hi all! I badly need help to find a great office chair, im not willing to spend over $300 so under $300 will be best! I will be using it for long hours while I game or other stuff on my computer, I have a bad back due to a bent spine and bad side, I also have a boney butt ALSO im not big. Lol

It has 3 good reviews is all I could find on the web, can anyone help me out please?

You can't go wrong with ozbagainers chair call 'Buro Metro Task Chair'
have a look at officemax website.

  • Your options for a decently priced new chair are the IKEA Markus ($199 for the non-leather option), dxracer (~$300 when on sale) and the Buro Metro (~$250).

I got the Buro Metro but as I haven't tried the other chairs, I can't really compare. The Metro seems comfortable enough but I do not like how the back of the chair moves from side to side so easily.

    • bad leaning against?

      • It supports my back well if that's what you mean. Again, I wouldn't want to make any hard recommendations as I haven't read many comparison reviews but you should try it in a store if possible. I didn't do so and that was my fault. Otherwise I may have known about how the back of the chair can easily move side to side.

    • I purchased the Markus around 2 years ago now and it's still in use. Can't fault it at all.

  • Looking at dxracer now, they look super nice and comfy! I want one lol but there is so many types.

    • I've got a dxracer chair, I also have a bad back and its a lot better than any chair I have had in the past.
The lean on the chair is ridiculous, like almost flat and it feels really structurally sound, as it is made of a very solid frame.
The one I have weighed about 33kg in box so if you get one and have it delivered make sure you are home or have someone to help, moving that box solo was hard work.

      • Which one do you have?

        • I have one of the big K series because I like to have a bit of room between my legs and the chair arms so I can move around a bit.

        • @bercilak: that would be to big for me, im female and a bit skinny im not sure which one to get
can you help me? im also 5.9

          @shadowrukia:
Sorry I didn't reply in time. I see below that you went with one of the F series, good choice, would have been my recommendation if I had replied in time. The higher sides will probably be more comfortable for you than a flatter wider seat like my one (I'm also female but like the room to move :P)
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

  • Second hand Herman Miller Aero or Mirra chair. You should be able to get one around $300 if you look long enough. Really well built (comes with 12 year manufacturers warranty as standard) and very comfortable for long periods of sitting. I have a bent spine and this chair (I got the mirra with armrests) is so much better than my previous Officeworks chair. Read the reviews online (here and whirlpool), there is a reason why people are willing to pay over $1k for them new and still sell for hundreds second hand.
