Sigma 18-35 F1.8 to Suit Canon

Hey guys..

Finally know the type of photography I like and fairly keen on the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8. Only negative I can find is the hit and miss autofocus on some units.

At this stage the cheapest appears to be Gerry Gibbs Camera House at $799 or if I can be patient and wait a month JBHIFI can order one in for $750.

Anyone know of any retailers that I may have missed that have it going for a better price?

  • I bought one in October (DCW) and I'm happy with mine. It's not an Canon L series but for just under a grand, it's a good lens that I've enjoyed.

    • Thanks for the feedback :), I'll assume your unit doesn't have any AF issues

      • No, mine has been really good. Pretty fast, not too bad in low light. It would be nice if it could focus a little closer as a quasi macro, but it's not what its designed to do.

  • Dirt Cheap Cameras currently have this lens for $749

    • Aren't these guys not the best to purchase from?

  • FYI, These are crop sensor only.

    • Yep.. One of the nicest lens for crop cameras in this focal range..

Don't see myself going full frame

      • I wasn't having a go at the lens, nor crop sensor cameras. Just giving people the heads up so they don't have to waste time and click links to access that rather relevant information.
