Just note it was $23 at eb just a few weeks ago.

    • +3

Was it the same edition?? Too bad this once for the PC though..

    • Delivered price? Any chance of a link, or would google cache show this? Because we couldn't find a price lower than $49 from them… Thank you!

    • +2

It was in-store only. There were only 2-5 available nationwide.

      • Was it possibly the Xbox version….or PC?

        • +1

          Both Xbox versions.

          :EDIT: tgame beat me!

        • +1

Doh! Beat me to it @tgame — thanks :) I remember that post now because someone asked if the cap was good…haha!

        • +3

@sellingoutsoon: @Dagmar, we said the same thing at the same time….doppelganger?!?

        • +1

@sellingoutsoon: i don't think that word means what you think it means.

        • +4

@Putnum: Really? Most unlikely. But in case you're right…what do I think it means?

        • -2

          shame on you!

        • +2

          @imahapyboy: Now I'm thinking you don't know what it means…haha :D

        • +1

@sellingoutsoon: you think a doppelganger is someone that says something at the same time as you.

          http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/doppelganger

        • -1

@Putnum: He's not wrong in this context.

        • @Yuri Lowell:

          context

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

        • @Putnum: Did you even read the definition you posted?

          noun
          1.
a ghostly double or counterpart of a living person.

Someone said the same thing as he said therefore implying in a joking manner that that person was his doppelganger, a double of another living person as was said in the definition. Hope this clears it up for you :)

Bought this edition on Day 1. As much as the game disappointed me, the cap & mask from this edition are sitting on my collectors shelf. Take a look. The statue and the box to the left is the DedSec edition. The mannequin head does not come with the Vigilante Edition. I bought that separately.

Great price, would buy it if I didn't have it already!

    • +2

Thats pretty cool… Where'd you get those things that holds the game case???

      • +5

They're plate stands for The Reject Shop. They're $2 for a pack of four (2 big, 2 small). The big ones are the one you use for the game cases. A shame they don't come in a pack of 4 big ones.

    • +1

      Nicely done bookcase!

    • +2

      Wow, very nice.

  • +2

Got Watchdogs on the Steam price error for like $8 a few weeks back…

    • +1

I would likely buy this deal if I hadn't too! :3

  • +1

You can get the Vigilante Ed for $20 at JB Hi-Fi. Saw a few (Mainly Xbox 360 version) in store at several JB Hi Fi in NSW. I went to Strand Arcade, Macquarie Centre, Roselands, Near Hurstville and a few more (Sorry I can't remember which stores had it, I went to 5 or 6 JB last week).

    • checking…

    • Yes, Xbox 360 but not PC version. We checked today and it's $49 in-store (if the store you're near has it), or $49.99 delivered (see above for all details of competitor's prices)

    • +1

Can confirm. I picked up the ps3 Vigilante Ed from Leichhardt JB HI-FI last week for $20

      • -1

Sorry, are you confirming the PC or PS3 version? Because JB HIFI is selling the PC version for $49 (pick up) or $50 delivered. We checked again today.

        • +1

He was talking about the PS3 version, I think. But yeah, if you're after the PC version then sellingoutsoon.com.au is the cheapest place to get it.

If you are after the PS3 and Xbox 360 (If you don't mind to play it on Last generation consoles), then JB Hi Fi is the way to go but that also depends on your local store whether they have it in store or not.

        • @hohi: Thanks, agreed!

        • Confirming for PS3+ Xbox 360. Seems there is limited stock, too

  • Thanks for the mega-fast orders OzBargainers :) and …we're super-fast too!

    • Warehouse confirms first order has already shipped!
  • +1

Thanks . Great deal. Ordered !!

  • +2

    Great deal. Mediocre game.

    • +1

Thanks regarding it being a great deal. (I agree!) You're right in that Ubisoft overhyped the game spectacularly. I personally think that if they'd hyped it less, expectations would have been more normal, and everybody would have loved it! Gotta love huge marketing budgets. More money than sense. The game is more like a different GTA with a better storyline and interesting tweaks. Still fun to play with some very cool bits. As a result of aforementioned over-hype, we've offered the lowest price on the PC version we could find, ever. And the goodies make the deal, imho. Personally, I love unboxing things. That's half the fun I reckon! Cheers :)

      • +3

I completely agree. I didn't end up finishing the game because I just didn't feel engaged at all in the game. They glorified the visuals of the game at E3, with the final product looking like quite a downgrade which is disappointing. I think Ubisoft will learn from their mistakes and hopefully rectify their marketing/showcasing strategy for future titles. I'm especially keen for the two new Tom Clancy games which look pretty spectacular. We will see if they live up to the hype!

        • Exactly. My take on this is don't listen to the hype…it's most often done by people who don't even play games. (Hope that didn't burst anyone's bubble). I didn't go to E3 last year, but the visuals at E3 are always a mockup and not a final rendering. And usually not even close. The main thing to do is focus on the game. I thought Watch Dogs was a fun concept. Regrettably, the ads for it were too good!

  • +2

Am I the only person that enjoyed this game for what it was, a solid, non glitchy, entertaining and enjoyable new IP? People get too caught up in PR, personally I rarely bother checking out all of these pre-release videos.

  • +1

    Great news everybody!

    • All orders placed so far have already been shipped!

What is up with your account creation questions?

    Animal Preference:
    Choice of Beverage:
    Preferred Seasonal Adjustment:
    Weapon of Choice:
    Sport:

I did like that Online Slagging/Flaming is an option for "Sport" though.

Great to see you guys somewhat specialise in Collector's Editions though. Will have to bookmark your site for future reference when I'm trawling Ebay for those hard-to-find collectibles.

Also, any chance of sourcing one of these for the PC? Being a diehard FC2 fanboy I'd love to add the CE to my collection.

    • +1

Haha, well…the main thing to remember is that we're weird, yet amazingly consistent and we tend to (as nicely as possible) say it how it is…. Good weird though, like liquorice flavoured icecream, or tangello sherbert. Having a personality is mandatory at Selling Out Soon. Having at least a diploma in "Smart-@rse" is also useful. What a relief…after all, what's the point in supplying fun to other people if you can't have any while doing it? This type of mantra is encouraged here. Because we like to let people express themselves positively. And that includes you :) emphasis on positively

Yes, you're right, Collectors Editions are our bag, baby (in the stolen words of Simon and Garfunkel's lovechild: Austin Powers. Or his fave car: Austin Healey "bug-eye" Sprite) But seriously we do focus a fair amount of effort toward Collectors Editions. Regrettably, we don't have FarCry 2 in the sexy wooden box Collectors Edition on PC, but it is surely on PS3.

That particular Collectors Edition finished manufacture a few years back, it's getting quite rare now (new and sealed anyway).

How to subscribe If you want to avoid missing out on our best deals before everybody OzBargains them… please subscribe to sellingoutsoon on OzBargain: and then click on the little subscribe button :)

Also, if you want rare games (Australian version)…. then separately subscribe to Secret Deals because we have deals that are in very small quantities that won't end up on Ozbargain due to the minimum quota, and you really don't want to miss them!

  • Used to be $21 plus about 5 for postage at xmas time for PC if I remember quickly.

    • +2

Scroll up dude and read the first few comments. That was the Xbox version.

  • OP needs to calm down, if you post great deals on here we will see and vote for them. If you have great shipping and communication we will notice. If you shamelessly plug without any of the above, we will ignore you.

    • -2

Hi Max, I'm seeing the word "we" a lot, but you're the newest one on here :) but that's OK. Welcome to OzBargain! You're averaging 2.3 comments per day, but no deals from you in your 10 days on OzBargain. I posted a deal on the first day I could. Check out @easternculture, he's posted over 2000, with over 10,000 comments, what's most interesting is what a decent guy he is. Most of what he says helps others, with something positive and usually pretty cool to say. Hope to see some fantastic deals you contribute to us soon :) cheers mate.

      • Missed the mark there. Nonetheless your passive aggressive reply will ensure you don't get my business or support.

        • No, It's called sincerity Max. If you don't believe that, the issue isn't with those you're attacking. My question: why have you such ill-willed intentions toward people you "don't know", and have never had any contact with, if you've only been here 10 days…or are you not really a "new" user? Please let's just leave it there. The mods can sort out who you are and your motives. This post was a great atmosphere before 9pm.

    • +3

I found his attitude enthusiastic but not over bearing or used car salesman-esque. They're clearly banking on the hipster/hoarder/geeky factor to draw in sales and that's why the light-hearted humour and obsessive details are necessary.

The fact that he posted comparative pricing and extensive shipping info is a positive imo, something that more vendors should do.

      • wait til' you catch them in a lie and watch the bullshit fly :)

        • +1

That was 6 months ago. Can you just stop? Please?

    • +1

      Lol. "OP, calm down".

      That is so often true.

    • +1

Yeah, the rep got a bit excited but they actually met the criteria you suggested; "post great deals + great shipping and communication". It happens to the best of us when you post a deal you are passionate about.

  • +2

This will sit nicely next to my DedSec edition, which I am pretty sure, I got via a deal here for $30 a while back.

It is also a great deal for the collectors, so the OP is well within his/her right to be a little excitable.

  • Mixed reviews over at Steam. Dunno whether to or not….

    • +1

A lot of neg reviews of how Ubisoft handled the game after the first reveal trailer (downgrade graphics, too much hype, etc).

    • Need a new black cap or mask?

  • -2

Hands down the worst game ever made!

    • +1

Haha…well not according to everyone who just bought it :) but "Sorry for Windows* might be the worst game ever made. Or maybe just it's name. To be frank, when I first saw "Sorry for Windows" written, I didn't know it was a game, I thought it was an apology from Bill Gates!

      • Horrible game to play on Winblows, I would pay someone to take the game off me

  • no PS4 stock ?

    • Sold out PS4 version before we put it on sellingoutsoon but… we've got another PlayStation 4 (Aussie stock) deal coming up… possibly today! If you want to see it first before everybody OzBargains it… subscribe to sellingoutsoon on OzBargain: and then click on the little subscribe button :)

  • umm wtf with all these unpublished comments ?

    • +1

Not sure. I remember reading them and most were not even remotely "personal attacks". Looks like the rep has just had all of their comments deleted for some reason.

    • +1

Rep is also in the penalty box for whatever reason. Which is really annoying as I wanted to ask why the order was taking so long to ship.

      • +1

        Most have shipped :)

        • Yup, status changed this afternoon. Thanks!

    • My bad - clicked on wrong checkbox during moderation. Comments restored.

      • Thanks moocher for being open about this. Very much appreciated.

  • UPDATE

    • Warehouse reports most orders have shipped.
    • It is expected that at least 90% of correct addresses will arrive to most locations within the time indicated. Please see item page for updates. We will email at each stage of the process in the interest of serving you better.
  • Can I please ask the Selling Out Soon Ozbargain Rep to please follow up on my order #135026 I placed on the 16th? On the 21st I was sent an email saying that my PO BOX was not able to be delivered to and to please pay an extra $12.50 for Australia Post. I sent a reply back later that night (timestamp is 22nd at 12:19am) to please ship to my home address instead but I have yet to receive a reply (it has been two full working days) and the order status is still marked as "waiting fulfillment". It's disappointing as I expect better online response times from an online company, especially one that advertises their deals on Ozbargain.

    • I know 90% went out on-time or before. There usually are wrong addresses and they're dealt with on a case by case basis, by Customer Service. If there are more than usual it may take a little longer, especially because January is often even busier than December. If you don't hear back from them within 3 business days, please PM me, and I'll pass it on for you.

  • Miss out on this deal?

I managed to squeeze a few more codes out of management just now….so if you missed out…now's the time!
