How to Access Full Text Peer Reviewed Journals for free?

Hi All

I finished my uni studies some years back and no longer have access to my Online uni library and full text peer reviewed journals. Anyone have any ideas how I can access these types of journals for free? At this stage mainly looking for Medical journals.

I have done some google searching but most sites will only give you the abstracts.

thanks

If you live in NSW, the State Library provides access to many journal databases. You will need to get a free library card though.

    • Thanks, looks like the QLD state library might be able to help me out.

  • Are you working? Most health organisations will have free subscriptions to many journals.
Only googling wont get you anywhere if a journal is not free.

I'm in the same boat. Luckily Ive got a few staff who are studying and I hit them up every time I need something.

  • Go into the/a Uni Library.

Same way you accessed them in University: piracy copyright infringement.

It will cause the same amount of damage as any other solution, that is none, other than resorting to larceny or more serious "crimes".

  • Why do you want access to journals? Bed-time reading?
Go to your university's medical library and get membership. Pretty sure most good universities have some sort of Alumni membership.

    • Yep want access for my own personal research, not related to my career or previous uni studies at all.
