Rechargable batteries for the wii

Looking at buying some rechargeable AA batteries for thw Wii Remotes.
Any Good inexpensive ones would be great.
Don't need a charger as I have 2 of them.
I seem to always lose the batteries long before I lose the rechargers…!

  • Get the Eneloop style ones, Varta sell them in Supermarkets.
They hold their charge over a long period so you can use in ways where you'd normally use disposables.

In the regular rechargeables, steer clear of Arlec, the Energiser ones are good, high capacity units, also in Supermarkets.

    • I did buy one of these. Unfortunately the are NOT compatible with generic wiimotes !!!

  • my vote - Varta and Sony CycleEnerge. They are the equiv of the Eneloop.

  • I've been using Maha Powerex Nimh AA for years. I recommend them.

  • best place to get varta?

    • Officeworks sell them. Alternatively, I believe you can find them in Woolworths and maybe Coles too.

EDIT: Just checked both my local Woolies and Coles and they both sell them. My local Woolies had a 4 pack of 2100mAh ready-to-use ones on special for $16.98 (Officeworks = $17.98).

Also, unless you use your Wii extremely often, get the ready-to-use ones, not the standard Varta rechargables - they will last a lot longer before having to recharge them.
