I'm looking for a loophole or some catch, and I still can't believe this offer comes from Ebgames. But it looks correct unless they put up a wrong price or something. $497 and one brand new just released game and another that was released late last year. Both have excellent trade value and if sell them on eBay, you'd easily get about 130-140 bucks. And it's 2 controllers as well.

Can anyone see any catch with this offer? Ebgames is offering it… so I'm looking for the words: 'Trade your existing Xbox 360 Elite for this one at 497' but I can't find any such words. I think … the end of the world is near.

    I bought this on release. Great offer - all 250 GB bundles are 497 at EB (ie Mass Effect 2) with an extra game. The face plate is not guaranteed. I managed to pick up the limited edition face plate, but my friend didn't. Great price!

    Honestly though, I know it may sound strange but when I die I want to be clutching all my consoles and games, so… since the world is ending, why not sell me all your stuff for about $50 bucks? :)

    Also the 250gb HDD is Engraved with FFXIII.

    I went to a few EB's to try and get it, There are about 15 stores in my area!

    All I was after was the same deal as the website.

    eb 1 : Sorry the deal hasn't been finalised yet.

    eb 2 : The face plate only comes with Pre-orders

    eb 3 : We have 1 left and it's kind of sold.

    eb 4 : Boxes all ratted up .No face plates left.

    eb 5 : 2 instock ,Face plate, Free calender , Free Poster SOLD!

    Looks like most EBs only have 2 boxes.
    Also the faceplate is bidding over $50 on ebay!

    Can't you guys order online if you can't find it in stores? It's only 10 dollars more for shipping. Better pay that than waste your fuel or pay for Metcards.. roaming around till you find an Eb that has it.

    But having said that, I would try a couple of EBs myself. I hate waiting for my stuff to come. Fishpond always delivers my stuff in 3-4 days but the Heavy Rain I ordered like 28th of Feb, is still not here.

    I don't like waiting for stuff either, plus There is a chance of it getting damaged in transit and if it happens to
    be dead or faulty its a pain to return it. Good thing about ordering online though is you always get gear thats new.Boxes haven't been opened etc

      You might get a 250GB Elite for 399 on a damn good sale price. Most 120GB elites are selling for that much. FFXIII 79 was the cheapest I saw. Dragon age another 60. But you gotta get another controller. Cheapest was Game's 37 dollars one. So total: $575.

        All things considered, this is the best deal to get if you ever considered getting an Xbox. There was this ultimate crazy deal from DSE where the 250GB MW edition Xbox with 2 controllers was going for 299. But that doesn't happen often. That was like a blue-moon sale.
