Xiaomi Mi Band (fitness bracelet) - cheapest, quickest and most reliable place to get one?

Hi guys,

Looking at getting one of these cheap fitness bands to measure my day to day fitness/sleeping to track with my Android phone. I've seen them come up a few times but finding there are numerous complaints of them taking forever to arrive or some not getting theirs at all.

Could somebody recommend a good place to currently get one? Was considering getting the S1 version with the hear rate monitor built it but from what I can gather, it really doesn't appear to be worth the extra cost?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've bought these from Banggood and Gearbest. Both arrived without incident.. Banggood was about 8 years quicker than Gearbest though.

  • Banggood or something would do. Just keep in mind that they're not as accurate as an expensive fitness tracker. That being said, they should be constant, so you can compare your movement across days as long as you only use that device to track it.

  • Thanks guys. Those sites are horrible for somebody who loves electronics and gadgets!

I'm not looking for a serious measure on how well I'm sleeping or how much I'm exercising as I have a dedicated fitness tracker that I put on when I workout which i'm planning to continue using. I'm not expecting much given the price of these over a Fitbit for example. On consideration, I could even do with the cheaper version of the band as I think it's a good starting price for somebody like me who is uncertain about wearing something that you need to leave on (and if I can leave it on without it bothering me).

I'll do a bit more research and read up on some more reviews before deciding if the version with the heart rate monitor is really worth it.

  • I read a review that the heart rate one isn't that accurate. Most of the reviews said its not worth paying the extra for it. I'm going to get the original one with the 2015 update

  • I wouldn't expect it to be as accurate as say a $100+ device but I saw a comparison videos of the S1 against a bunch of more expensive fitness monitors and it seemed to more or less provide similar results. I can no longer can find that particular video but found these two instead if you want to have a look and judge for yourself:
