This is for anyone who bought something from Mwave on here and had problems getting a warranty claim done on it.

Previously Mwave had this on their site:

"We realise that it is not your fault if a product is defective, but please understand it is not our fault if a product is defective - we ship what our distributors and manufacturers provide us with," END QUOTE

This is a win for consumers by the ACCC.

If you buy something from a store and it turns out to be defective the first person responsible for fixing it up is the seller not the manufacturer, nor the distributor, it's the seller.

    I've bought some things before and was palmed off by the warranty department. But the problem was the manufacturer doesn't have an Australian affiliate so I either had to go through the distributor (which I couldn't ask they asked for some merchant ID thing) or not get the item repaired.

    These guys are almost as bad as IJK.
