Looking for cookware and a student laptop

I'm moving to college and I'll need to bring cookware with me. I'm looking for any good frying pans that would be easy to use. I believe the college has small electric stove tops so maybe a pan under 30cm and non stick? I saw that Kmart has a stainless steel one for $5 but I'm concerned about the quality. Also any small soup pots would be good too.

I'm also looking for a laptop to use for uni purposes. I'm open to screen sizes but no smaller than 13.3" and maybe i5? I do light gaming every now and then and I like to edit photos.

Thanks in advance! :)

  • This looks like a good deal

And stack with cash rewards maybe?

  • A $5 frying pan is likely to be utter sh*t. I have 4 frying pans and I pretty much just use one of them, my Jamie Oliver Tefal which was a bit pricy (~$120) and has a stupid celebrity chef name on it, but works a dream. If your budget is $50 don't buy two $25 pans, max out on one good one. Things wrong with my other frying pans:

    • Really heavy
    • Handle as heavy as pan so tips when not full
    • Whole pan is too light and easy to bump
    • Base curves when it heats up so won't sit flat on stove
    • Cheap non-stick is… kinda sticky

I once gave myself a really sick burn all the way up my forearm when I used a heavy-handled frying pan and knocked it off the stove onto me. :/

  • its been years since i lived in halls of residence but there was always queues to use shared cooking facilites. an electric frypan might be a better idea. lots of power points if the cook top is in use. dont forget a breville sandwich maker.
