Travelling to Kenya from Perth, WA

Hi all,

Have a wedding to attend in Kenya in July and was wondering does anyone have any tips of best routes/airlines to get there with?

Checked Skyscanner and seems expensive.

    what are your dates? or is it flexible-ish? (e.g. just need to be in Kenya on 12-15th and can leave perth on the 5th and need to be back by 21) or fixed - e.g. must leave perth on 12th to get to the wedding on the 14th and must be back in perth on the 18th?

    if you have all the time in the world, and dont mind farting around. there are these 4 options

    1.) use India
    fly to hyderabad with air asia for 500-600 ish
    fly from hyderabad to nairobi for 700-800ish with jet/ethiad stop in AUH

    need indian visa, $1200-$1400 total

    2.) use SriLanka
    fly to colombo with air asia for 500-600 ish
    fly from colombo with air arabia to nairobi, via sharjah for 740ish

    think sir lankan visa easier to get online and cheaper than india
    sharjah is pretty strict part of the UAE, but good,
    $1300-$1400 total

    3.) use Thailand
    fly to bangkok with Jetstar or Scoot for 417
    fly bankgkok to nairobi with emirates for 1200

    $1617 total, more expensive than 1 and 2 maybe more comfortable with no visa required.

    4.) use Malaysia and Saudi Arabia an insane travelers option
    fly to kul using air asia, $300
    fly kul to nairobi using saudi arabian airlines $1100

    spend a day in saudi arabia, witness a beheading, not sure of visa requirements, place pretty much hates anyone not from there
    $1400-1500 total cost

      July is peak season in the northern hemisphere. Are you sure these prices are available? Or are these prices one-way only?

    You'll probably have to use one of the gulf carriers: Etihad, Qatar or Emirates.

    I searched on Skyscanner and it found $1792 return on Etihad with Skidoo:

    Kenya…..Mmmmm. Don't forget your spear. Remember it will need to go as checked in sporting equipment. Just saying……

    instead of hyderabad use chennai

    1.) use Chennai, India
    fly to Chennai with air asia for 561
    fly from Chennai to nairobi for 598 with jet/ethiad stop in AUH

    need indian visa, $1159

    2.) use Mumbai, India
    fly to Mumbai with air asia for 682
    fly from Mumbaito nairobi for 539 with Ethopian airlines stop in Addis Abiba

    need indian visa, $1221

    option 2 is cool, get a day in ethiopia.

    or combine 1 and 2

    3.) use Chennai and Mumbai, India
    fly to Chennai with air asia for 561
    train/bus/plane Chennai to mumbai
    fly from Mumbai to Nairobi for 539 with Ethiopian airlines stop in Addis Abiba

    $1100 plus cost of indian transport, get to see some of India, Ethiopia
